Lost with no direction
Waiting to be found
With no choice but aimlessly
To wander round and round
One step forward feels so good
Only to take two steps back
Moving, changing all the time
And always losing track
Everything is pointless, but
Matters in the end
Thinking we must have mastered
Something impossible to understand
Claiming that we know it all
Have learned from the past
The present is not ever here
But the future will always last
Dreaming of tempting fate
Of going down in fame
Thinking we're making our way
In a pointless game
We're so impressed by unimportant things
Sure that they'll last forever
But successes matter not
They change faster than the weather
Saying life has a meaning, but
Who are we kidding?
