Nature's Mood
The trunks are brown, like well-used blankets
And the leaves are forest green
The dew is clear like silent tears
On the lush, thick grass it gleams
The midnight stars will still shine brighter
Than a brand new diamond ring
And lovers will swoon under the full moon
As the howling wolves begin to sing
The rising sun will bring new hope
And the birds will sing along
To their very own beat, their tunes are sweet
Composing the new day’s song
The wind will whistle in my ear
And dance across my face
I’m feeling bold, so I embrace the cold
Its dance fills the empty space
The flowers start to open up
They sense weather soon to be
They continue to bloom, through the sun and moon
Their colors are beautiful to see.
